What Causes Shortness Of Breath In A Person Suffering From Congestive Heart Failure?
Question: I have been diagnosed with congestive heart failure in 2012. Now I have shortness of breath , partly collapsed lung & Pad. Is this a heart problem or lung problem? I also have severe interstial cystitis
Brief Answer:
Both can cause.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern.
Breathlessness is caused by both congestive heart failure and by collapsed lung and in you both are responsible.
Lasix would help reduce your fluid overload which is associated with congestive heart failure and aspirin helps in preventing clots.
I would be interested in knowing the tests and investigations your doctor has done like Echocardiogram and Lung Function tests and what ever else like D dimer , if done.
Please upload them and I shall comment on them.
Take care,
Both can cause.
