Hi
Thanks for writing to HCM.
I have gone through your query. Kindly tell me what symptoms you have after applying the gel. Voltaren gel, contains diclofenac. After applying gel, slight burning and coolness at the applied sight is noted.
Generalized feeling of sick is not seen following application. Even the local hypersensitivity at the applied site is also less likely.
Kindly get back to us with detailed symptoms, I'll be glad to help you out.
Take care.

Feeling spacy and nauseous and flu like symptoms though I do not have flu. I had spread a larger than normal amount over entire bottom of foot.
Brief Answer:
not due to gel application
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for providing the information.
Symptoms you have mentioned are less likely to be due to application of gel.
Presently I would suggest you to avoid spicy food, alcohol and smoking. Eat bland food for week. Steam inhalation with eucalyptus oil will be sufficient. If it does not help than we can go for medication.
Hope this helps.
