What Causes Skin Rashes When Diagnosed With Dermatitis?

Question: I have been going to a dermatologist for a skin rash she diagnosed as dermatitis in January. It continues to worsen and spread in spite of the medicines and creams she has prescribed. She did a biopsy in February that showed it might be a drug reaction, but I haven't changed any prescriptions. Could it be caused by eating grapefruit? I had some every day during the time period of the "rash" and stopped eating it 4 days ago. I thought it was getting a little better and ate grapefruit again last night. It has spread over both calves, thighs and right forearm and left upper arm. It seems to spread around a skin irritation or scar or mole. It keeps me up nights and I am desperate.
Brief Answer:
Urticaria
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
Probably you have developed urticaria.
It is an allergic condition.
Allergy can be due to anything which you eat or wear.
Grape fruit is a known allergen.
Stop eating it and take an antihistamine tablet like cetrizine for a week.
This should help you.
If possible upload a photograph of the involved area.
This will help me in giving a closer diagnosis and better way of management.
Waiting for your response.
Thank you.
