Unless you have already had evaluation for the cause of this bleeding, it advisable that you have an evaluation for it. Blood in the urine can be from various causes, including infection or stones, but also can be from cancer.
The first step is to go in to your doctor and have a complete diagnostic urinalysis. Your doctor may want to do some blood tests too, such as to check for how your kidneys are functioning (BUN and Creatinine). Depending on this, your doctor may recommend imaging studies of your kidneys and urinary system (kidneys, ureters, bladder).
