What Causes Slight Left Eye And Mouth Twitches?
Question: 1 1/2 month ago I had slight left eye twitches, now the twitches did proceed to my left mouth area, and a few days ago after having a Brain MR,Carotoid artery angiography,Stress test,Ecocardiography and EMG,I was diagnosed with hemifacial spasms.But on your web site I read that people who are diagnosed with hemifacial spasms can't close their eyes properly, or can't smile, or can't blow a baloon.I can do all these movements, and my spasms are just felt by myself, the other people can't see them yet.The twitches do ocur just several times in an hour, and during sleep at least until now they didn't ocur.I am very concerned about my diagnose..Could you help me further, if it is may be another sickness ? As I told you, since a month I have been able to do all these movements..

Hemifacial spasm is an one-symptom condition, in other words, involuntary facial movement is the only symptom.
Other symptoms such difficulty closing eye, smiling are symptoms that may coexist with involuntary facial movements related to Bell's palsy or facial paralysis.
I don't see any problem with your face, by looking the picture you uploaded.
EMG is the test that is used to diagnose this condition, MRI is the imaging test of choice to exclude other diseases that may mimic Hemifacial spasm and to evaluate any facial nerve-artery conflict.
So, since you undergone these tests, in my opinion Hemifacial spasm is the most likely diagnosis.

Thanks for your answer,I do have hernias between T3&T4..Could this lead to HFS?
