What Causes Slimy Sticky Frequent Stools In Children?

Question: Question for Dr. Ratnesh Pandey, homeopath - My 19 month old daughter is having slimy, sticky frequent stools since yesterday. Since the symptoms were very similar to something she had in August, so I followed your earlier prescription.
"Infants are more prone to loose motion. Reason behind this is unpured water. So try to maintain a habit of using only RO purified water for drinking.You can also boil the water and then cool it and use it for drinking purpose.Meanwhile i am writing some medicine arrange the medicine with nearest homeopathy pharmacy and give as suggested1 R4 (Reckweg series 4) 8 drops of medicine is mixed with one spoon of water and give it to child repeat the same 4 times in a day 2 Chamommila 6 1 drops with one spoon of water and give it to child, repeat the same 3 times in a day3 Mag Carb 30 4 pills 4 times in a day .All the medicine is for 15 days This will solve the problem And use only RO purified waterHope this is clear and if you have any query feel free to ask"

I wanted to know if this is good enough for the symptoms I mentioned. This times her motion is not very watery though, it is only slimy. She is also eating reasonably ok so far, I have ommitted all milk products though. Should I follow the same medicines? In how many days should I expect her to be fully fine? Should I follow any other diet restrictions?

I think you are already following enough dietary measures. No other restrictions from my part.

Since there is a change in her stool consistency, I would like to change treatment now. Stop earlier prescribed medicine and start with following

Trombidium 30 4 pills twice in day
Merc Sol 30 4 pills twice in day
Aloes Q 5 drops with half cup of water three time in a day
*Rheum 30 4 pills before Sleep ONLY IF STOOL IS TOO SMELLY
Take this medicine for 10-15 days and she will be fine

This will give her complete relief and also help to not to repeat the problem in future.

ok. What do you think causes these infections? Generally it is said that in homeopathy the cure is slow, how soon should I expect signs of recovery?

Sometimes it is seen due to long suffering, even after the treatment the condition reoccur, and major reason behind this is people stop the medicine without completing the course. And the infection cannot be removed completely. Infection replicates and reappear.
But apart from this, there many causes which can influence the occurrence of the disease.
I am not very confident what is the cause in your case because that requires some routine investigation.
So advice you to follow the treatment and don't stop medicine without completing suggested course of medicine.

She will have relief within day or two but understand absence of symptom is not complete cure of disease.

Sure, I did not discontinue the course of medicine last time. Will continue the medicine as long as is required. But I am unable to get Trombidium in any nearby homeo pharmacy. Is there any alternative to it?

Homeopathic medicine are peculiar to each case and selected on the basis of symptom similarity. There is no supplementary medicine for this.

Request you for an alternate solution as in Navi Mumbai/ XXXXXXX region, there are not too many homeopathy dealers and the ones I could find, do not have this medicine. Can you please suggest an alternative? Or atleast let me know the manufacturers which make this medicine - then I can ask the shop to check.

ok. So alongwith R4, should I give Merc Sol and Aloes Q with it? I bought these as per your prescription, only didnt get Trombidium. Or should I continue R4 alongwith Chamomile 30 and Mag Carb 30 as per the old prescription?

Great. I have started the mefication. will report to you after 10 days. Just one thing - I am maintaining half an hr time gap before/ after meals for giving the medicine. And 5-10 mins between each of the medicines. Is that good enough?

For Aloes Q, you advised 5 drops with 1/2 up water. How many ml of water should that be? I am asking because the cup sizes vary.
