What Causes Small Bite Marks On Extremities?
Question: Lately I have been getting what appears to be small bites on my extremities mostly - all indoors. When I showed them to a nurse practicianer she thought it was likely exema since I have allergies and my mother had them and exema. The feel like tiny bites and always on blood veins. They itch and then fade leaving brown pigmentations. We have done everything to rid house of any spiders, ants and checked the bedding and have not found the cause to be any insect or bug. Yet every day I get several bites or spots.
Is this just a skin condition or is something else going on! Thanks

Brief Answer:
Consider vasculitis
Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for asking HCM,
I understand your concern. Regarding to your symptoms and the fact that you excluded any kind of spiders or little animals which could cause this skin appearence and excema, you should consider vasculitis. This is a blood vessel inflammation which is mostly autoimmune but can be caused by some drugs. My suggestion is to visit your GP abd test your blood to see if it is vasculitis to get proper medication which is based on chorticosteroids.
I hope you will listen to my advice and visit your doctor to make proper examination.
