default
Posted on Mon, 3 Nov 2014
Question: Today I noticed small, darker, skin spots under the hair of my my forearms. Like a dead skin or thin scab, I picked one, blood surfaced to under the skin in that spot thus almost bleeding. What could it be? I was in a health club lap pool recently too.
Thank you in advance!!, XXXX

Brief Answer:
Topical MUpirocin

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir ,

I have carefully read your query and understand your concern.

These areas are more likely to be folliculitis which is bacterial inflammation of the glands of the hair follicles.

Topical antimicrobial Mupirocin 2% apply 8th hourly along with salicylic acid 2% for 5 days iall sufficient.

Please do not peel the scabs.it can predispose you to deep tissue infection.

Thank you.
