What Causes Small Lump On Elbow Along With Numbness In Hand?
Question: I found a small lump in the medial side of my left elbow yesterday. I have also been noticing numbness and discomfort to my hand and forearm. I had tendon transplant surgery in 1997 for wrist drop on the same arm. the discomfort I feel is kind of how it started when I ended up with wrist drop.
Brief Answer:
Need Further testing to evaluate the nature of swelling.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam.
I understand your query and concern.
As per your history suggested ,the relation of this swelling to past history of operated wrist drop can be equivocal.
All I advice you to have an Xray of the Elbow in the AP and Lateral view as a preliminary test.
This can be followed by a needle examination if the results are not confirmative and if the swelling is a soft tissue origin or a lymph nodal related?.
The further treatment can be largely based on the test results.
Post your further queries,if any.
Thank you.
