Hi,
Thanks for posting the concern in the HCM. As I can understand, you are a 47 year old female, with recurrent sores in nose and ears and back of tongue. You also find yourself fatigued with myalgia and chills at times. Now you have developed a stye.
My understanding is you have either attained menopause or is about to attain the same. At this age you are prone to develop certain skin and mucosal infection or they may flare up. Although such infections are more common in the urogenital region involving vulva, vaginal mucosa especially, infections of skin and mucosa may involve other areas as well. Despite considering this probable cause, you have to consider a detailed clinical examination and some investigations that would help to exclude certain differential diagnosis.
You may do the following tests:
Complete blood count, serum creatinine, LFT, ESR, Ig E, Fasting TSH, Fasting Sugar
Till you get appointment to your local dermatologist and get those investigation reports at hand, and write back to me, you may consider the below mentioned suggestions:
Calamine / Aquaminol lotion to be applied over skin lesions 2-3 times a day.
Plenty of oral fluid, preferably 3.5 lit a day
Avoid oils and saturated fats and keep your bowel clean using Ispagulah husk at bedtime.
Regular exercise for 1 hour
Avoid stress
Consume citrus fruits.
I usually prescribe my patients Ciplox Eye drop- one drop in affected eye twice daily for 3-5 days, if the patient is adult and not allergic to the drug along with Moxicip-eye ointment with instruction to apply it at bedtime over the affected eye and a gentle massage with tip of finger after making it warm by rubbing.
For the ear condition, I usually prefer Ciplox D ear drop- 1-2 drops in affected ear twice daily for 3-5 days, if an adult is not allergic.
I prefer Clindamycin gel to be applied twice daily over lesions on face and avoidance from sun exposure.
For a sore throat, a regular mouth wash with good oral hygiene and at times betide gurgle may help.
You may also start taking a vitamin B complex capsule and increase consumption of green leafy vegetables to avoid some vitamin and micro-nutrient deficiencies.
