Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
These sore spots do not seem to be related with arteritis or aneurysm.
These could be due to seborrheic dermatitis or any infection( fungal bacterial) or any eczema.
I would like to know since how long its present
If the areas are itchy
Any associated dandruff or boils or any infestation like lice infestation
Also if possible please send me an image of affected area.
Hoping to hear from you soon.
Take care

Hi,
Firstly accept my apologies for delayed response.
So you have sore spots without any skin rash. As no dryness, irritation flakiness, red rashes or bumps are present it virtually rules out any underlying skin condition.
However now such sore spots could be there due to post herpes neuralgia( if there is any history of herpes zoster), herpes sine zoster( if its of recent onset). Other possibilties could be nummular headache or due to traction present due to excessively tight tying of hair. Nummular headache is usually seen in females after fourth or fifth decade and causes painful localised spots over scalp. Temporal arteritis though runs in family involves one side of scalp around temples and causes a throbbing pain. It may present as sore spots over scalp. A thickened artery or vessel may also be seen on temple.
To diagnose the underlying cause, you need to consult a physician.
Hope this helped.
Take care
