What Causes Sore Throat Along With Ear Congestion?
Question: I have had soreness in the left side of my throat for about a week. also my right ear has seemed stuffed up. no issues with eating, drinking or hoarse voice. I am rarely ill (colds, Flu, Etc..)
Brief Answer:
Supportive care
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Sore throat with ear congestion and no other symptom is likely an ear infection with throat involvement or eustachian tube involvement. There is nothing to worry about. just continue with the advil, take salt water gargles, throat lozenges and adequate fluids to stay hydrated. If you have acid reflux problem that could trigger it and needs to be managed to get complete relief of symptoms. If the issue persists, visit an otorhinolarungologist and let them sort it out.
I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
