Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using HCM.
I went through your query and understood your concerns,
Your symptoms are suggestive of upper respiratory tract infection. Some dripping you feeling in throat is post nasal discharge , which is from nasal secretion. It usually increases irritation of throat and there by symptoms too.
Any infection of throat results in redness due to body's response to infection. Inflammation causes pain while swallowing. As your pain reduces on taking cold food is due to derivation in temperature make pain sensitive nerves in throat numb, but cold food worsens Disease.
If a patient comes to me with these symptoms first I would like get complete history and examination to check for and tonsillar enlargement or adenoids in nose.
I usually give them with following advice.
Antibiotic treatment
anti inflammatory medications.
Warm salt water gargling 3 to 4 times a day
Steam inhalation 3 to 4 times a day.
Avoid cold food items.
These measures should reduce your symptoms with in 2 or 3 days. If not need to get throat swab for culture and sensitivity.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for follow up query.
Most of throat infection do respond well to amoxicillin antibiotic and symptoms do reduce in a 2 or 3 days of using antibiotic.
If your symptoms not improving then need to get throat swab study to get culture and sensitivity to choose appropriate antibiotic.
Sweating do seen due to medications taken for fever. If you are getting headache and sweating simultaneously better to get blood test done to rule out malaria.
