What Causes Sore Throat, Headache And Sinus Congestion?
Question: I have had a sore throat, headache, and sinus congestion for about 4 days now. This morning, I checked the back of my throat and there is white bumps on my tongue and the back of my throat looks a little white and it hurts to swallow. Is this strep throat? if it is, can I do something about it at home before I have to go to urgent care? thank you.

I am sorry to hear that you are having a sore throat with white patches on the back of your throat. This could easily be strep throat. I recommend that you see a medical provider today if not at your regular doctor then at an urgent care center. There they will be able to do a rapid strep screen and tell you if you have strep throat. If you do then they will start you on antibiotics.
