Brief Answer:
Cant be HIV

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Seroconversion, that is the time when the HIV becomes active in the body after multiplication, takes place at around 3rd month. No symptoms will be seen before that. Hence, I strongly consider that you may not be having HIV.

As for the symptoms you have, yes it could be a sign of long standing bacterial infection. The best way to know the infecting agent and the treatment needed for the same, get a Throat swab culture and sensitivity test done.

Meanwhile do gargle with antiseptic solutions like Chlorhexidine twice daily after food. This can prevent it from worsening.

Brief Answer:
take antibiotics based on culture report

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

I do not deny the possibility of HIV but I would like to say the chances are too less as the symptoms have started much earlier, which is nearly impossible in HIV.

Anyway, if this is the seroconversion the regular HIV tests should come positive now. if negative, it rules out HIV completely.

My advice, take antibiotics according to the culture and sensitivity report.

Brief Answer:
Cant be HIV

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I still am not convinced that it could be HIV.

Anyway, since its 80 days post exposure, it is the right time to get the HIV test after a week from now. Get it tested, if found negative then you should let go of the anxiety.

Wish you good health.
