What Causes Soreness Around The Vaginal Opening?
Question: yesterday morning noticed that the area around my vaginal opening was sore. By this I mean that my clitoris, vaginal opening, partially the labia, are all the areas I am referring to. As the day went on I thought the sore/bruised feeling was lessening, however when I got home to check on it, I noticed that the clitoris was swollen and that it hurt to wipe after urination. Now after checking I have an itchy sensation near the vaginal opening, and it still feels bruised. Also, I developed a low grade fever at 99.6 degrees.
I should probably include that, the night before last, I had sex. I don't know if that would have something to do with it, I just want to know if it's a possible urinary tract infection or a yeast infection.
another recent update is that it more slightly burbs when urinating, but the itching had subsided a little probably due to the anti fungal cream I am nose doing a treatment with. many doctors appointment isn't until next Thursday so I would like to know if this is something I should be concerned about.

Brief Answer:
PLEASE UPLOAD PICTURES
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Can you please upload clear pictures if possible of the areas involved ?
That would help me to opine if this is just abrasive irritation from sex, or the beginning of an infection.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care.

I cannot upload a clear picture however, the itching.is still present but the soreness is startlingly minimize. also I have just recently found that there is a bump on one of my labia, however it is inside the skin, which may be due to that area being pinched. there is also tenderness on the left side in between my thigh and pelvis bone about 2 inches away from the clitoral area. I am currently only drinking cranberry juice and using yeast infection treatment to rule out uti and yeast infection. I have not had these symptoms before though, with the exception with the bump in the left labia, which I have had a couple times when I was younger.
Brief Answer:
HAVE A VAGINAL SWAB AND URINE EXAM
Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
Right now drink lots of water and cranberry juice ( atleast 5 litres per day ).
Have protected sex or avoid sex till the symptoms subside.
It is best to consult a Doctor and have the diagnosis confirmed, particularly with a vaginal swab and a urine examination.
If you cannot see a doctor, continue with the antifungal cream.
IF the symptoms subside, fine, else do have the workup suggested.
Also, do not use any soaps, cleansers, gels or special products for local cleansing.
Just rinse with lukewarm water, avoid handling the affected area too much and maintain good perineal hygiene.
Take care.
