What Causes Soreness In Jaw And Ear Along With Sore Throat?

Question: I had a boil type sore in my ear canal for about 3 weeks. it has somewhat gone away, but I woke up with a new sympton of a very sore jaw joint on the same ear. and I have a slight sore throat. Could they have anything to do with each other?

you have been experiencing an infection on the inner ear canal and now have pain from your ear to your jaw and throat. This is very common because the innervation of the pain fibers in your ear also innervate the pain centers of your jaw and throat. Your brain is interpreting the ear pain as alos coming for the jaw and throat. Once you get the ear infection healed your jaw asn throat pain will resolve too. I do recommend seeing a doctor for the ear infection as you may need an oral antibiotic to cure the infection
