What Causes Soreness In The Left Breast?

default
Posted on Mon, 3 Jul 2017
Question: Just today, my left breast and nipple are very sore. I showered to do an exam and felt nothing unusual. Walking without a bra is very painful. Not my time of the month, but never get sore there at that time anyway. Not breastfeeding and havent for over a year. Should i be concerned?

Brief Answer:
?.mastitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
GREETINGS
I can understand your concern. You have mentioned that you are not breast feeding or premenstrual.
Since it is painful without wearing bra, need to rule out any infection (mastitis) as your other breast is normal.Hormonal variations can cause pain in both breast. Is there any discoloration or swelling in that breast ?.If it is not severe you can take paracetamol. Or else get a check up with your family physician
Hope you are convinced.
Regards
