Brief Answer:
2 possibilities considered

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal
I have read your query
I think there are two possibilities that may be causing the pain-

1. This may be a muscle spasm. The muscles may be traumatized and you may need to give them rest along with some hot and cold fomentation. If possible, meeting a physiotherapist for TENS therapy would be a good ideas as well. An x ray of LS spine will be needed to diagnose it.

2. the possibility of genitourinary infection has to be considered. In this condition, there may be fever associated with pain along with possible abdominal discomfort, in addition to the backache. It will need appropriate antibiotics if present. Needs a ultrasound abdomen and urine culture to be diagnosed.

I hope that the information helps you.

I think it's too high up to be genetourinary . Could it be my liver isn't that where I'm describing. If so what could it be?

Brief Answer:
Liver is located right under the ribs on the right side and is usually painless.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am glad to hear from you.

The location of the liver is right under the ribs. On your right side, in front, you can feel the lower most rib. The liver is just covered by that last rib and is located there. So you can tell me if that's where the pain is.

Liver is usually painless. It's more likely that if you have the pain that high the condition might be gall bladder related like gall stones or gall bladder infection. In that case you will need a ultrasound of the abdomen.

I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

Best of luck.
