Brief Answer:
Postmenopausal bleeding causes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am,

Thanks for trusting us about your health care.

I can understand your concern here.

There are so many causes of postmenopausal bleeding( bleeding after menopause ) and it should be investigated on priority basis.

At your age most common causes are fibroid, polyp, endometrial cancer and cervical cancer.

You should consult a Gynaecologist and get yourself examined and investigation done to rule out the above mentioned cause.

You should go for ultrasound scan, endometrial biopsy and pap smear first than sometimes further investigation may also required.

Hope it is useful, feel free to discuss more.

Regards

Brief Answer:
It can be due to cervical polyp or erosion.

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am,

Sorry for the delay in my response, due to bad weather conditions my net is not working properly.

Mild spotting or spotting can occur after pap smear due to sensitivity of cervix.

In your case much bleeding can be due polyp or it can be due to erosion( at your age senile atrophy is common).

Do not take any stress, if bleeding increased in quantity, you should consult a Gynecologist for the same.

Kindly revert back to me with your reports, so I will be able to give my opinion about it.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Good luck.

No i am not taking any hormonal replacement. I was not saying my fibroids were the cause of the bleeding. I was just asking what would make rhem bleed. I am just trying to find out what is causing the bleeding. It takes so long to hear about results of pap smear.

Brief Answer:
Hormonal changes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry for the delay.

If you are not taking any hormonal supplement than the most common causes at your age are-

Senile atrophic vaginitis.
Endometrial hyperplasia and polyp.
Endometrial cancer.

Please wait for your biopsy and pap smear reports.

Have you done an ultrasound scan?
What is the thickness of endometrium?

Hope to hear from you soon.
