What Is The Remedy For Unopening Cervix For Conducting D&C Due To Endometrial Thickening?
I have been through menopause and had a endometrial ablation about 6 years ago and had no bleeding ever since, have had a bit of spotting every now and again and endometrial lining is now 4 mm thick they tried doing a d and c today and could not do it because cervix was closed what do they do if it does not open.
According to your history the points that can help you are: - Usually 4 mm endometrial thickness can be considered as normal in the menopausal age group. So, please discuss with your doctor whether D&C for endometrial biopsy is needed or not. - If D&C has to be done, the methods that can help for Cervical dilatation are: *Doing procedure under can help in relaxation of the muscles. *Using vaginal misoprostol sometimes can help. * Using cervical dilators
But the exact procedure should be decided by the treating doctor who will be well aware of the physical condition of the patient. So please discuss these things with your doctor and let her decide.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
