What Causes Stinging Pain In Chest Radiating Towards Waist During Urination?

default
Posted on Tue, 24 Mar 2015
Question: It is an odd thing and I feel no one else has anything like this. I have to go to the bath room 3 to 6 times before I get up in the morning; but the first time I go, (but not every night), I have something like a spasm pain that radiates on up through me but not past my waist (I have to stop the stream or it hurts too bad) and it is connected to making my heart hurt. That pain is like a worm in my heart that starts to bore into my heart. I can endure all of this because I know it will pass, but it is quite severe. This doesn't fit anything I know of, (except a kidney stone in some ways, but it doesn't really fit that either) and it doesn't happen any other time I urinate day or night.

Dear Dr. Hudda,

I am encouraged that you are a doctor from (possibly) XXXXXXX (?) if so, you are probably quite familiar with natural, holistic medicine as well. Perhaps you can give me some advice along that line also. I found something about Vit. C & E as a possible help under vasospastic angina. "Use of anti-oxidant vitamins (C and E) have been suggested to improve endothelial function and decrease vascular reactivity in vasospastic angina8..."

In nursing, we were told that if we were taking care of a heart patient in ICU to be careful when washing them as there was a nerve in the anus that connected to the heart. Is there such a nerve in the bladder connected with the heart? The heart pain I have, builds with this other pain as it builds in intensity and spreads. I do not have the heart pain otherwise--not before, or after this happens.

I am researching what you sent. I hope my letter is not too long for you.

You asked me to give you some of my history.

I craved salt growing up, my guess as to why, would be that my BP was 70/40. I was anemic and had B-12 shots once a month. Otherwise, I was quite active. I have had good health through-out life, but I am overweight. My BP is usually 135/78. I have only had my tonsils taken out at 6 yrs. old, and a D&C for heavy bleeding during menopause.

I had three children (hyperemesis gravidarum with the first pregancy. [I threw up 49 x d and was still sick when she was born] and I also tore giving birth. This doctor used forceps and somehow damaged my sciatic nerve). I was sick with all of the pregnancies, and had a miscarriage at 5 months with my 4th. After one of the other births, I was given something for after-birth pains whereby I felt everything was 'wonderful' and I was watching the clock and thinking how neat it was that I didn't even have to take a breath but every 4 minutes.

One brother and my cousins are on thyroid medications, and another brother had surgery for a mitral valve prolapse. One great-grandmother lived to be 101 and refused to eat or drink any more, she said she was tired of living. Two grandmothers lived to be 94 & 97. My mother died of colon cancer at 59 (she lived for 27 years among steel mills and coke plants on the Ohio River). I was there 5 years and my 'hair analysis' has all kinds of toxins that are 'off the chart'. My dad died at 78 from Mesothelioma (he worked in the shipyards).
.
I became an LPN (right after the miscarriage), and also an EMT. I do not take any medications except one Advil or one Tylenol aprox. 2 or 3 x a wk. lately, for the pain in my knees (that mostly bothers me early in the morning in bed). For a month or so in the fall I take Loratadine for hay-fever (ragweed). I am allergic to insect bites and very allergic to bee stings. I have never smoked (although my dad did--2nd hand smoke), neither have I drank any more than a little red wine (4 to 6 oz) occasionally (months between), in these last years with food or cheese. Alcohol seems to do something to my muscles, esp. in my legs.

I buy all organic/non-GMO food; our meats are 'grass fed' or have non-GMO grain. We have a non-sprayed garden and live on a farm with a lot of animals (over 100 goats). From a test with radiation, I was told that I have an enlarged heart with thickening on the front side, and that I 'once had a heart attack'. I also have a mitral valve prolapse. I'm sorry that I don't remember all of the proper medical terms anymore. On the treadmill test, my heart went back to normal too quick for the test, so it was 'inconclusive'. (I wish I had never had that 'radiation' injected into my body, I found out, that of all the tests, it is the one 'most likely' to cause breast cancer).

My dad was treated for eczema in the Marines for 7 years. When his arms and head were bandaged, his step-dad took him to a holistic dr. who put him on a diet that cured him in three months, (so I knew they were not 'quacks'). I had all of Adele Davis' (a nutritionist) books and went by them, and raised my children by them too.

I once took the Briggs/Myers personality test and my 'type' was in 1% of the population. I've found that this seems to carry through in many other areas as well. Others go to doctors, take tests, have surgeries, and take medications with good results, but this has not been my experience. I was given something for the heavy bleeding, that on the 2nd day, a large 'blind spot' came into my eye that took months to shrink down and though I can't see the spot any longer, the blind place is still there, but not in my direct vision. When I got my records from having the D & C years later, I found out that my blood pressure dropped very low and they couldn't get it up for awhile, it was a close call--I was never told about it. Even the last time I was given an antibiotic, Ofloxacin, for a bladder infection, the second pill at 11 pm made my whole digestive system churn, roar, gurgle, and rumble all night long. I was wide awake all night, and by early morning I could 'feel' myself sitting on a couch with three dogs when I knew, logically, that I was in my bed. An endodontist and teacher in a medical college injected me for 2 1/2 hrs and couldn't get me numb. A dentist finally told me that I had nerves that came up from my neck, and that was the reason. He gave me laughing gas once and I had a reaction to it. He said it worked the opposite way on me. All my life, doctors have told me that I was hypersensitive to pain. And like the after-birth pain medication I wrote about above, I must be hypersensitive to everything. At the present time I don't even have a GP. Right now, I take Co-Q-10 with Resveratrol; Vitamin Code Raw Calcium; a 50 and Wiser multivitamin; and sometimes some others. (B complex, Folic Acid, Pantothentic Acid, E, etc.). If you read to the bottom of this, I hope it is what you wanted--or that it helps.

Hope you have a nice day too!

Brief Answer:
Vitamin C and E both are essential for a healthy heart

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am greetings
Thanks for you reply and detailed medical history

You are right I am from XXXXXXX and i am very much familiar with alternative medicine or holistic medicine which is being practised in various parts of XXXXXXX

Vitamin C and E both are most important vitamins for preservation of health and prevention of premature ageing
Vitamin C protects against spontaneous breaching in capillary walls which can lead to a heart attack, richest source of vitamin C is citrous fruits

Vitamin E promotes the functioning of heart by improving oxygenation of the cells and also improves the circulations and muscle strength, many whole meals and green vegetables like outer layers of cabbage are good source of vitamin E

Vitamin B group is very useful for various anaemias, chronic fatigue and heart and circulatory disorder by affecting the metabolic processes in body

As such you are having good nutritional supplements coenzyme Q, Resveratrol Supplements and other B complexes

Looking at your medical history let me give my opinion here.

1. I would advise you to consult a cardiologist for Angiography and thallium stress test to rule out any heart disease

2.Your BP is within normal range now so you should cut short salt intake

3.You have mentioned about something like a spasm pain that radiates on up through but not past your waist this could be due to sciatica, Vitamin B12 can minimize such symptoms

4. You can start with few exercises like early morning walking aerobics and yoga
5. Get an ultrasound abdomen to rule out kidney disease or renal stone

If you wish me to prepare a diet chart for you, please let me know I will make it as per your medical history
I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help.

Best wishes.
have a nice day
