What Causes Stinging Pain While Urinating Along With Severe Abdominal Pain?

default
Posted on Thu, 11 Feb 2016
Question: This morning around 5:30 I went to pee and towards the end of my pee I felt a stinging pain. When I went to pee again around 6:30 I saw the there was blood, my pee was more brown and the. It hurt yet again at the very end ( feels like something needs to come out). Also My stomach and lower back were hurting too.

I put an icy hot patch on my back and lower tummy area and I feel okay now.

I was told to drink a lot of water and cranberry juice and I have been peeping every 5-10 minutes since 7 this morning.

During my last pee the pain wasn't there anymore.

Do I have kidney stones? Or a bladder infection or a UTI?? A

Should I still go to the emergency room?

Detailed Answer:
Welcome at HCM
I am Dr XXXXXXX XXXXXXX and I will be answering your query. I have read and understood your health concerns.
Do you have diabetes or hypertension? Any associated problem like fever? Any bleeding disorder? Any previous and family history of kidney stones?
Based upon the history provided it may appear urinary tract infection. But before embarking upon any diagnosis you should be examined first so that a reasoned conclusion can be drawn. Sometimes tiny stone do get stuck in urethera and give these symptoms.
If I am your attending physician I will get your FBC , urinalysis , x ray KUB and ultrasound abdomen and pelvis. After then I will be able yo proceed.
If there is no pain and bleeding right now , then there is no emergency. You may see urologist after scheduled appointment.
Stay calm and drink plenty of water and use acetaminophen to relieve pain.
Hope it helps

My aunt has had kidney stoens 4 times ans her first one started around my age.

I do not have anything that you mentioned above. Also i have never had kidney stones either.

I should schedule an appoinment with my gynecologist or regular primary doctor?

Thanks,

Detailed Answer:
Welcome XXXXXXX at HCM
I really appreciate your follow up
It would be wise to go to ER as pain have come back. You will get investigated and any intervention if needed can be done in time.
Urologist or gynaecologist both are good to investigate your case. See your ease.
Get well soon
