Posted on Mon, 18 Jul 2016
Question: Took two Duxalac pills last night at 7:00. Woke up this morning at 5:00 with cramps. Was able to relieve myself off and on thru day but starting seeing redness in the diarrhea. It looked like the watermelon I ate for breakfast but is now 7:00 at night and am still seeing red in the little diarrhea I am still having. It is a bright color red and I'm thinking it is no longer color from the watermelon. Action to take?

Brief Answer:
You need to see a doctor. Take ORS.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

It seems that you have got a gastrointestinal infection which has lead to dysentery (bloody stool). You should get the stool tested for routine microscopy and should visit a doctor at the earliest. Treatment with antibiotics is likely to be required. Alongside you need to take ORS (oral rehydration solution) to make up for the lost salts and fluid.

Do not delay.

Regards
