What Causes Stomach Distension After Placing Of Heart Stent?

Question: I had a heart cath and one stent placed on Mon of this week. Due to veins being small the dr had to do procedure through groin. my question--should my stomach be distended due to procedure and iv's, etc?

There is no apparent direct reason for stomach distension.

The XXXXXXX procedure is either done via wrist or groin.

The probable reason for distension could be :

Prolonged bed rest
Less of fluids
Some obvious change in diet
Restriction of physical activity etc.

Normally drugs used do not lead to distension.

If the distension is causing discomfort or some other problem,please speak to your doctor.
