What Causes Stomach Infection In An Infant?
Question: Hi, my baby is 5 months old. Earlier he was taking the bottle feed very easily & delightfully. However, from last few days, he is not taking the bottle easily, biting the bottle's nipple everytime, throwing out the bottle from his mouth too. We are making so many efforts to make him drink the milk from bottle by pushing it inside his mouth by distracting with one or another way. Its very painful for us.
Moreover, my wife needs to resume her office in few days. And, she is also not able to express her milk.
Please suggest, what's wrong with my baby, why is he doing so and how can it be treated?

Brief Answer:
Most probably due to teething
Detailed Answer:
hi,
welcome to hcm.
can understand your concern.
It can be due to stomach infection. At this age, baby takes everything in mouth and as a result, baby gets infection.Other cause of infection is nipple infection.
Change all the nipple that you were using earlier. Since the problem has occurred for last 5 days only, chances of infection are quite high.
It might be possible that pain abdomen occur due to high and low molecular change.
If symptoms persist then an examination by doctor should also be done so that we may not miss any important finding.
After the child is cured, give medicine for 2 more thaks
Take care.
