Question: I have had a recurring problem with my stomach. I feel excruciating pain in and around my stomach region. The pain lasts for about 5 seconds. The interval of the pain varies. I also feel my stomach is a little bloated, as if a lot of gas is within. I try to drink hot water, but doesn't help much. Sometimes I feel a poking sensation in the lower right side of my stomach region. This is the third time in three months I am facing this problem. The first time I didn't show it to a doctor. The situation remained for about three to four days. The second time, I went to a doctor and the doctor in XXXXXXX Asia, the doctor termed it as large interstine infection due to food poisoning. This time I have had this problem for two days now.

Since how long do you get this pain???
This is the third time I have had such a pain in the last two months. I can't quite remember having it anytime before that.
The first time I got the pain it lasted for 5 days. The second time I got the pain it lasted for 7 days.

Is it associated with nausea vomiting??
No. Just a lot of pain.

Exactly in which side the pain is of navel(umbilicus)??
Upper?? Lower??right side?? Left side??
I have two kinds of pain. One is when I press my stomach on the lower right hand side of the naval region, I get a poking sensation similar to when having cramps. The second kind of pain occurs in intervals, to be general, may be once in a span of 15 -30. But the interval could increase or decrease over the day. This pain is excruciating and lasts for about 3-4 seconds in itself. To try to describe this pain, it originates from in and around the naval region and feels as if somebody is squeezing and pushing it out from the inside. Not sure whether that's the right description. But it is lot of time for those few seconds, sometimes unbearable.

Do you get bloating and discomfort specially when you eat fatty food??
Not really. Actually, I have noticed that I get a pain as soon as I eat or drink anything including water, the second pain which I have described above.

Is pain of pricking type or dull aching type??
I have described two kinds of pain above.

Does pain radiate to back??
No. Just the stomach region.

Are you alcohol addict??
If yes then how much??
I do consume alcohol. It is very irregular. Sometimes it could be 3-4 times in a month. Sometimes I might not consume alcohol for 2 or 3 months. In the month of July I consumed alcohol once. In the month of August I did not consume. This month I have consumed twice. The quantity of alcohol is never alarmingly high.

Do you get burning micturation??
No. But immediately after urination I usually feel a pain in the stomach.
