Question: I have 9 1/2 years old son.Recently in the past 5-6 weeks after eating food he has been experiencing stomach pain, followed with Burping and feeling nauseous. The issue has been going on more then 5-6 weeks. We took him to doctor Blood and urine test do not show any issues. Even if he takes like Pepto-Bismol does not appear to help. The relief comes after he vomits followed with diarrhea.Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Brief Answer:
Gastroenteritis, protozoal infection, IBS possible

Detailed Answer:
thank you for asking
Symptoms just for 5 to 6 weeks with no previous history makes it more like an infection, and gastroenteritis as a likely suspicion. The burping and relief on vomiting makes it worth assessment for any anatomical trouble like esophageal spasm or lower sphincter issues or hiatal hernias. It needs 24 hours esophageal manometry and PH monitoring to confirm the cause. Functional bowels like IBS is possible but unlikely.
Intestinal protozoal diseases are likely possibilities and deworming procedures are advised.
Nut shell, short history and no past history makes it an infectious etiology and protozoal infections, gastroenteritis and paediatric IBS are some likely possibilities.
Seek a paediatric gastroenterologist for further management.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
May the odds be ever in your favour.

Any paediatric facility near you would work. Its easily manageable. Dont worry. A little medications with some diet and lifestyle modifications would suffice.
