What Causes Stomach Pain, Diarrhea, Nausea And Clay Coloured Stool?
Question: Why is my poop blond? Sunday night I stayed up most of the night with severe stomach pain and diarrhea. Monday and Wednesday I felt nauseous Thursday I had diarrhea and stomach pain again and nauseated Friday I have blond poop and feel nauseated

When poop is clay colored, it means that the liver (biliary system)has not been able to excrete certain pigments (bile salts) into the intestines that normally color the poop brown. This can be caused by an obstruction anywhere along the path, the liver, gall bladder, and pancreas all excrete into the small intestines. Gall stones can cause obstruction, but if you have a bad stomach flu, inflammation at the point in the small intestines where they empty into can do this too. What we know is something is preventing the biliary tract from excreting properly into the intestines.
Thing to do now is to go in to see your doctor or go to an urgent care clinic (tomorrow is ok) to have a liver function panel drawn (a blood test) and possibly you may also need an ultrasound of the liver.
Sometimes "blond poop" is a temporary problem and may resolve on it's own, but best to find out the cause. So do go in to be seen.
