Dull ache without food under left abdomen under rib cage who inch radiates to the back especially while sleeping. Palpating does not produced pain. It is more pressure than pain. Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
You are reporting to have pancreatitis with high lipide level.
These finding can explain your symptoms of abdominale left pain that irradiates to the back.
Even if your lipase and amilase level is in normal range your pain may be related with pancreatitis .
Otherwise I would like to know if you have bowel movement changes like diarrhea or constipation recently?
The fact that the pain relieves after tylenol use indicates that probably it is related with pancreatitis.
Hope it was helpful to you.

Thank you. I don't have actual pain, an occasional twinge, ,but I do have pressure in there. No fever, but don't feel 100%. In 2004, acute pancreatitus left me with a large pseudo cyst which burst yield serious peritonitis an surgery. Gall bladder remove and some necrotic pancreas tissue.

I will call my primary care physician and schedule a meet with a GI doctor. Was at emergency last week and they and my primary care thought the enzymes meant it was not the pancreas. Could it be some residual inflammation with the 650 triglycerides. Have a history of lipids is as well and take fenofibrate. Should I also cut back on eating until I see a GI doctor? Or just easy does it, small meals, low fat and low carbs?? Saw the primary care only last week. ER was two weeks ago--any comments on the two questions above. Was not sure why they do not do a CT scan in th ER, except for the enzymes being normal. I am just trying to avoid an acute attack if it is not something else until I get to GI person.

Also bowel movement OK but lots of gas. Stools are light brown in color. Gall bladder was removed when I had the surgery for peritonitis. I take metformin in addition to insulin--this sometimes give me bouts of diarrhea or very lose stools. Does a full stomach impinge on an inflamed parcreas and cause pain?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and sorry for my late.

Thank you for providing more of your medical information.
With regards to eating I would recomment to use low fat diet low carbs till you see a Gi doctor.
Since you have had a history of acute Pancreatitis than it would be better to do a Ct scan on ER.

Otherwise your sumptuous as you are describing now (occasional pain) is not typicall for pancreatitis.

You are asking if a fulled stomach impinge on an inflamed pacrease and cause pain.
In fact when the stomach is full with food it is difficult for an inflamed pancreas to produce pancreatic enzymes as much as needed to digest the stomach food. The pain is not related with the presume of the stomach to inflammed pancreas.
This is why in clinical practice GI specialist suggest for low food intake in cases of pancreatitis.
Meantime I suggest to use :
- Creon three times per day
- NSAID's to improve the pain
- PPI like prilosec to protect stomach mucosa.
Hope it was helpful to you.

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Creon is capsules with pancreatic enzymes that helps and improve food digestion. It is used in cases of pancreatitis.
If you are using eliquis than it is better to avoid NSAID'S .
You can continue to use acetaminophen or tramadol in more severe cases of pain.
With regards to spleen , to my opinion your symptoms are not related with it.
Another cause of your symptoms may be a common muscular pain.
Hope it was helpful to you.
