Brief Answer:
Secondary to warfarin.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for using Healthcare Magic.
Your new medicine, Jantoven, is warfarin which thins the blood. You may have been started on it because of you heart conditions. One of the side effects is coughing or spitting up blood. This may indicate your dose needs adjusting. Warfarin is usually monitored by regular blood checks to monitor the INR.
I suggest you go to the ED and have your INR checked. The doctor may recommend reducing the dose. The sickness you are experiencing will likely be related to a small amount of blood in your stomach which can irritate the lining of the stomach.
I hope this is of help to you. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
