What Causes Stomach Upset And Blood In Stool?

Question: Dear doctor, I have food on regular time. From past one or two weeks, soon after having lunch, I feel like my stomach is upset & I can hear sounds from my stomach. today when I went to the toilet, while flushing I saw it was of red color like blood. few weeks ago also I had observed something like this. I am worried. what could be the reason for blood in motion. but I do not have any burning or paining sensation.

5-6 years ago i used to get pain while passing motion as I felt a small piece around anus. I consulted a doctor & used a cream for a month or so. The doctor told it may be due to piles or something. After using the cream for some time, it completely stopped paining while passing motion.

& recently I noticed twice that red color while flushing the toilet.

To recapitulate: Male/31 - had pain, small tag around anus 5-6 years ago - got alright after using cream - have food on regular time - stomach upset after food for 2 weeks - can hear sounds from stomach - blood in toilet now and a few weeks ago - no burning or pain at anus - wants to know the reason ..

My thoughts as per the history you have provided.
Your case looks to be colitis.
The upset stomach, sounds after food is a reflex mechanism of the body.
The blood in the stool may be due to colitis.
This may not give burning or pain.

I would advise you the following:
Tests of stool and blood.
Take an appropriate course of an antibiotic, metronidazole - needs a valid prescription from your Doctor.
Probiotics and multivitamins to be taken.
Avoid foods and beverages that you know can instigate or enhance your problems.
Consult your Doctor, get investigated and properly treated.
If no relief you will need further opinion of a Gastroenterologist and further studies like colonoscopy and CT scan.

I am worried doctor. Is this too much to be worried about!?
Blood test /stool test /ct scan /colonoscopy .. I am getting afraid..

By the way I just want to update you about one more thing that I am on medication for other two things for almost one month now [I am taking Fluoxetine (20 mg) -- daily 1 after breakfast, Clonazepam 0.5 -- daily 1 after dinner, Vitamin C -- daily 1 after breakfast).

Wouold there be any reason that due to these tablets would have changed some functionality so that I am getting this problem!!?? (Usually people say that if we are taking tablets for a long time, "usse garmi hojati hai etc".. )

Please read my answer again. I have advised for stool and blood test to start with.
Colonoscopy and CT scan only if the medical management fails to cure your symptoms.
So stop worrying.
I do not think that the medications can cause such a problem.
