Question: In starting Prempro again after a month, I have experienced stomach upset, and exhaustion....is this really normal....I am an RN as well...so I am baffled with this feeling. Also intense sweating....more than usual.....
Brief Answer:
Consult your doctor before starting Prempro
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You are 56 and experiencing menopausal symptoms, due to which you must have started Prempro, which is a combination of conjugated estrogens and progesterones.
As you are also having cardiac problem and hypertension (as your medication suggests) and some edema in the body, these hormonal preparations should be taken with caution. They are likely to increase the risk for heart disease, stroke and especially in your case. Although history of PCN allergy and drug is contraindicated in asthma, but you have already tried it for 1 month.
As you are having intense sweating and exhaustion after re starting the medicine, I will advise you to see your physician again and get ECG or other evaluations as advised by him done and take the treatment with his due permission.
Thanks. Anything else happy to help.
