She was bloated last 2 days and she had slight diarhea, otherwise she feels normal
Brief Answer:
I confess again that it is highly manageable
Detailed Answer:
hi,
Then, she could be having lower gut infection.
It is very common to have mucus shed after infection, and it should subside normally.
She may be kept on antibiotics like metronidazole (flagyl 400 mg twice a day).
I confess again that it is highly manageable, and needs no worry.
All the best.

she is on some thyroid medicine for a long time and recently she started to take some statin to lower her cholesterol. She made no significant change in food. She has many allergies on dust, penicilin, animal hair and things like that she did not notice any blood in stool, no loss of apetite
Brief Answer:
Statins may cause diarrhea
Detailed Answer:
hi,
No more questions.
It must not be a serious thing. Many elderly will experience mucus shedding in stools, as a normal process also.
Statins may cause diarrhea and mucus in 10% of individuals. you need not stop them as she will get used to it.
Whatever the case may be, she should be fine.
Do not worry and rest in peace.
