Should I Continue Taking Flagyl Tablets For Psoriasis Due To Red Spots?
I have been diagnosed to have psoriasis. The doctor has prescribed Flagyl 400mg tab daily and Absolut Cap daily one each. On using Flagyl I found red spots all over my body. Should I continue. On the other hand, a general Physician has prescribed Montek Lc one daily and Deflacort 30mg half a tab daily. The dermatologist has asked me stop tablets prescribed by the Generalo physician, but the lesions still continue. Pls help. My age is 49 and i am a Male.
Cannot say in your particular case and the red spots are hard to comment on without seeing them. Association with a new drug makes allergy to it something that comes to mind but it can be coincidence. Itching and hives make allergy more likely and more likely to be a drug reaction. Drug reactions are either mainly where the drug contacted the body or all over. Flagyl is pretty common to cause this reaction and anti-allergy medicines such as montek and deflacort would be a treatment for this. There's a lot of other psoriasis treatments.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
