What Causes Stringy Bowel Movements, Stomach Upset, Nausea And Abdominal Cramps?

Question: My daughter is 23. She has had one surgery for stage 4 endometriosis. All had been good, she went for a checkup in July and all looked great. She has recently been having some stomach issues, nausea, cramps, bloating, etc. She said yesterday that her stool looked weird. That it had yellow in it and looked like a worm but it wasn't moving. Could this be roundworm? Or possible hpelori?

Brief Answer:
Stool test should be done.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Yes, it could be a roundworm. However it is really almost impossible to tell, not being able to see it. It could be also an undigested food part or even a mucus.
For sure it is not a H.Pylori as this bacteria can not be seen with naked eye.

Her symptoms can be related to the surgery. It always leaves adhesion which can cause stomach issues along with cramps and bloating. Gastrointestinal infection due to bacteria can be also the reason.

For sure she needs some diagnostic. Please ask her to visit her doctor, have blood work, abdominal x-ray, abdominal ultrasound, stool test. She should also visit gynecologist.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
