What Causes Strong Menstrual Cramps And Hard Stomach During Pregnancy?
Question: I had Tetanic contractions while pregnant with my last baby, which resulted in my placenta becoming detached and having to have an emergency c-section as we were losing baby fast.
My daughter could be in early labor, contractions feeling like strong menstrual cramps, but, stomach staying hard, not releasing. Is this OK or should she go to the hospital?

Brief Answer:
She should go to hospital.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The contractions that feel like strong menstrual cramps are uterine contractions. The hardening of abdomen further confirms the uterine contractions.
This could be the onset of labor pains. She should go to the hospital as the contractions will gradually become stronger.
