What Causes Strong Pressure In Eyes After Having Lexapro And Keppra?

default
Posted on Thu, 7 May 2015
Question: I am on Lexapro 60 mg, Keppra 1500 mg, Klonopin 2 mg and Zyprexa 5 mg. Since i am on high dosage of Keppra (for me, because i was months before on 1000mg) and Lexapro, i feel some strong pressure in my eyes and some kind of "rolling eyes", so to say. I would like to know if this symptom is created by Keppra or by Lexapro, since in some moments my eyes cannot keep calm and the still have some kind of abnormal agitation. It was not like that before with lower dosages of Keppra and Lexapro (i am mild metabolizer for Lexapro).
Thanks beforehand

Brief Answer:
probably lexapro

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome here.

Lexapro and other SSRIs can cause increased intraocular pressure. This can cause feeling of heaviness and agitation in eyes.
Since you are taking high doses of lexapro, it is the most probable culprit in your case for eye effects.

I think its not due to keppra.

Kindly consult an eye specialist for ocular examination.

Hope this helps.
Thanks.
