What Causes Sudden Black Out After A Work Out?
I had done my full body check up after that but everything seemed normal in the tests. Do you know why it happened? and any precautions I need to take going forward...These days before jogging, I eat some nuts or juice or chocolate.
May need investigation & Follow up
Detailed Answer:
Dear friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic
It is difficult to conclude at this stage and pin point a particular cause…
Postural hypo-tension, from pooling of blood in the legs / anaemia and electrolytes are the usual causes – have likely been excluded by the tests and examination….
The body's balancing mechanism is in the inner ear. An ENT (Ear Nose Throat) specialist can exclude ear as the cause….
If the problem recurs, you need further assessment and assistance..
You have to be followed up by a neurologist. / EEG (atypical seizures), MRI and MRA (brain blood vessels)may have to be done…
If there are no clues, you have to be investigated by a Cardiologist! EKG / HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring – for arrhythmia) / ECHOcardiogram (for clot) / supervised Treadmill exercise ECG (for ischemia) – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance.
In the meantime, rest after exercise / avoid abrupt postural movements and have a company all the times…
The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.
Take care
Good luck
