What Causes Sudden Fever, Chills And Cough?

Question: I woke up this morning with a temp of 98.7, chills, cough and sore all over my body. My problem is that I take care of a lady who is 108 years old and she just had a bad cold. I am afraid to go and transmit it to her. What can I take to stop the fever, the cough and the soreness ?
