What Causes Sudden Onset Of Dizziness?
Benign positional vertigo
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
It is unusual that both of you had problems with dizziness the same day. Are there any fumes or other gases in your kitchen that could have caused your dizziness?
I would also like to know what other medications you are taking. The medications you are taking could have caused a low blood pressure and hence the episodic dizziness.
If none of the above things caused the dizziness then it is possible you both had a short episode of benign positional vertigo. This is a spontaneous inner ear problem when the balance center from your ear causes a feeling of dizziness. This is self limited. It may come back at any time and we can't predict who will have recurrent vertigo.
Please get back to me with your additional information at it is vital for me to make an educated decision as to what caused your dizziness.
benign positional vertigo
Detailed Answer:
Since you are not on any medication that affects your blood pressure then the most likely cause of your dizziness is the condition called benign positional vertigo. This as I stated early is benign and self limiting. It may or may not return. If the symptoms become worse you may need to be seen by your doctor and they can write for medication that can stop the dizziness.
