Question: I have sudden onset of tremors or large muscle spasms in core and neck. Have issues with bowels and bladder as well. Last tues had feeling of eletrical current throughout whole body and woke with tremors. Went er and when asked if both parents alive I answered yes and believed it. My father passed a year ago, still mourning. This terrified me. No results from visit.

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Sudden involuntary movements of muscles of body (tremors or large muscle spasms in core and neck)along with bladder and bowel incontinence (issues with bowels and bladder as well) goes more in favor of a seizure attack.Second episode of sensation of electrical current passing through your body and again trembling of body and subsequent confused state for a period dictate work-up for an organic cause again seizure attack,though the description does not fit into classical generalized tonic clonic seizure. However seizure may be atypical. A detailed neurological examination,an EEG and subsequently Brain imaging (MRI scan) as indicated should be undertaken to come to a logical conclusion i.e. to rule out any organic cause of your symptoms.

The bowel issue has been going on for 2 years. Prime phys ordered upper and lower scopes. Va XXXXXXX arbor said no just ibs and full of poop. Had me do colon prep for 3 days, nothing large passed or solid. Prep gave me migrain type headache. Did 6 wk fodmap. No improvement. Eat once day forced due to pain and loose stool. Looks like pasta or mudd. Labs done. 2 yrs ago running 10 miles runs. Today cant walk across room or hold coffee cup. Have rash on hands and feet. Nail beds turning white. Muscles feel like i did triathalon after minimaul use. Have herniated disc in lower back and neck, discs around bulging. Diverticuloses large pockets near rectum. Fybro. Torcherous bowel at top. Brain fog. Spelling and finger issues. Could all of this together along with possible seizure be related to Lupus? Waiting on results of catscans from er visit last thursday. Said head was negative, but not sure what they were looking for.

Hi,

Seizures of any type may be caused by lupus.
WhatI find that you have multiple disabilities ?IBS, Herniated discs lower back and neck suggestive of spondylitis, diverticulosis. They cannot be explained by one disease process. Also you seem to have functional overlay. Let us wait for the result of brain imaging.
