Posted on Thu, 22 Sep 2016
Question: My father is 63 years old. He is having a problem that as he sleeps suddenly a pain starts in his arms which starts circulating in legs which doesn't let him sleeps. As he takes any acidity medicine sometimes it gives him relief but not always.

He has been suffering from this problem from so many years despite of trying every kind of treatment (allopathic, homeopathic, Ayurveda). We have gone through several kind of tests recommended by doctors but still no relief.

Please suggest something.

Thanks & Regards

Brief Answer:
need evaluation...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The symptoms you mentioned are not typical of known medical illness. Since he gets well sometimes with antacid, I will suggest to continue it for couple of weeks. In the meanwhile, I will suggest he visits a physician and get evaluated. I will suggest complete blood count, blood sugar, lipid profile, serum calcium, vitamin D, vitamin b12 and TSH check.

Further treatment is based on result of evaluation.

Regards
