What Causes Sudden Seizure Like Muscle Stiffness In The Face, Legs And Arms?

default
Posted on Tue, 13 Jun 2017
Question: I watched a video with fast moving objects and I think it might have given me a partial seizure. My face twisted into a weird position and my arms and legs contracted involuntarily. I wanted to make sure that this does not require immediate medical attention.

Brief Answer:
can consider monitoring for now

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is understandable to be concerned but you may want to monitor at this stage, to see if symptoms recur.

Seizures can be precipitated by bright flashing lights or patterns, this is the reason that excess screen time can provoke seizures in persons who are prone to have them.

If the symptoms have resolved and there is no previous history of seizures then you can monitor. If it recurs or you remain concerned then you should be seen

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
