What Causes Sudden Weight Gain?

Question: I am gaining weight without valid reasons (don’t eat junk food or execute portions, more hardly eat any food, I am tired and irritable, had numbness in my hands, stiffness in my neck and unable to remember simple things. I was tired and had aches and painful joints all the time and poor sleep. I have developed a sore throat with difficulty in swallowing. My last blood tests and an ultra sound revealed 4 on left and 4 on right side nodes. The blood tests revealed high cholesterol and high blood sugar, and also high blood pressure, that all happened 5-6 years ago, prior of that the whole life I was on low blood pressure, other than that it did not show much about my thyroid levels, could you please give me some advice where I should go next, thanking you XXXXXXX
Brief Answer:
Endocrine
Detailed Answer:
I am sorry to hear about your symptoms.
The following blood tests will give us an idea what may be potentially causing your symptoms:
1 CBC
2 Complete metabolic panel
3 TSH
4 HbA1c
5 Midnight Salivary Cortisol
6 IGF1
The above tests will help look for certain causes of weight gain.
Regarding the sore throat and nodes, it is best to consult an ENT surgeon as it is not related to metabolic problems.
