Hi back,
Thank you for following up.
To determine if the nail problem you are having, further tests are needed:
- microscopical examination of nail scrapping with KOH 10%
-
biopsy of nail bed
To my opinion, yours is more likely to be related to trauma or
fungal infection. However, the above-mentioned exams would determine it better.
With regards to groin pain, as mentioned earlier, I'd like to have the answers to the following :
- have you been tested for urinary and/or genital infections?
- have you had any trauma prior to pain started?
- have you done any abdominal
ultrasound to check for prostatitis?
- are you experiencing problems with bowel movements?
- have you undergone any test to examine the local nerves or blood circulation (vessels)?
- any other tests for STDs?
Aleve is a pain-killer and anti-inflammatory drug. If Aleve is helping reducing the groin pain, it means that there is an inflammation there that is causing pain. If I was your caring doctor would run the tests as mentioned earlier to find out "WHY".
Thank you!
Dr.Albana
