What Causes Swelling And Pain In The Foot After Tendon Repair Surgery?
Question: I had tendon surgery in my foot a month ago. I am still non weight bearing on this foot. The swelling and pain is much better but not gone. That foot feels hotter than the other foot. Is it normal to be warm on the incision side of that foot? I am not running a temerature.
Brief Answer:
Foot warmth is not a problem
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case.Tendon injury will take some time in healing so it is quite common to have some pain even after one month. There is also no problem if foot is little warm. In case your surgical scar is well healed and not showing any discharge.
If there is any discharge from surgical scar or there is reddening then you need to see your doctor to rule out infection.
thanks
