What Causes Swelling And Redness Of Eyelid?
Question: My son (8 months age) has got some swelling in the right eye since yesterday evening. Not sure on the reason. Please see the attached images.
Can you suggest any medicine? Please do let me know in case you need any other info?

[NITIN] He was having cold & little fever around 7 days back. He was perfectly fine since last 7 days.
Additionally, my mom suspect that some insect has bitten over eye & that is why it is swelling. Today swelling is bit less, it was more yesterday.

Scratching and swelling may be due to allergic reaction which can be caused by insect bite.
It is good sign that swelling is decreasing. I suggest you wait until tomorrow.
I suggest you hot compression which reduce swelling. You can use ice pack instead if hot compression if baby feels heat.
If baby is scratching often or feeling irritation I suggest you Cetrizine syrup or drops ½ teaspoons (2.5mg) once a day after discussing with doctor
If swelling persists, visit a child doctor to rule out cellulitis.
