What Causes Swelling Around The Eye?
Possible bacterial conjunctivitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your health query.
I understand your concern and I saw your photo.
It looks like conjunctivitis. Since it is in one eye you may need drops with antibiotics in order to have a faster healing. The drops you are using are ok, but you will need longer to heal.
The drops or ointment you can take in the local pharmacy are either Chloramphenicol or Tobramycine drops to use every 3 hours, 1 drop in the eye for 5-7 days.
It is a very contagious infection so that is why you are having it for a second time because maybe you got it from someone else.
Clean the secretions well wit warm compresses so the eyes will not be closed and it will be easy to open the eyes.
Be careful to not share towels with other people, and also to wash your hands before shaking hands or doing things that involves touching other people.
If worse or not better, I would recommend seeing a local doctor especially if there is changes in the vision or if the redness is getting larger.
Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.
