Brief Answer:
Need more information.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.

Swollen lips and salty taste in my mouth could be due to some allergic or infective (like stomatitis or glossitis) in nature.

But before discussing it further let me provide a clinical picture of your swollen lips and tongue and also let me know,

Do you have throat pain or fever or mouth ulcer?
Do you have cough or cold or painful gums?
Any lymph node pain or swelling in neck region?

Kindly get back to me with this information.

Regards,

No to all of your questions.
I'm wondering if it could be an allergy to my toothpaste or mouthwash. But why would that suddenly start to happen as I haven't changed products.

Brief Answer:
Stomatitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for sharing more information.

If you do not have all those symptoms then there is likely possibility of stomatitis for which you may take over the counter antiallergic medications like benadryl or cetrizine twice daily.

Also,I do not think that it could be related to your toothpaste or mouthwash which you are regularly using. The allergy could be something else.

If OTC antiallergic medications do not help then better to see an ENT specialist who may start appropriate treatment after complete clinical examination and some routine blood works.
